Група, произлязла от атинската нео-психеделична сцена, The Steams черпи първите си вдъхновения от американския есид рок от края на 60-те; но предпочитат по-зрелите и мистични психеделични влияния от началото на 70-те. С изчистени бас линии, огнени барабанни ритми, китарни рифове като паяжини и проникновена проза с мрачни поетични видения, квартетът кара да се раждат хипнотични, почти шамански парчета.
Добавяйки традиционни гръцки инструменти като критската лира, лауто и цабуна (гръцка гайда) към техните натрапчиви мелодии, The Steams изследват най-мрачните и вълнуващи дълбочини на психеделичното изживяване, отвеждайки слушателя отвъд границите на жанра.
След два първи албума и многобройни концерти, включително дата за откриване на Black Angels, The Steams сега са на европейско турне, докато подготвят трети албум, Vile Wonders!

A group emerging from the Athenian neo-psychedelic scene, The Steams drew their first inspirations from American acid rock from the end of the 60’s; but prefer the more mature and mystical psychedelic influences of the early 70s to feedback-filled solos. With stripped-down bass lines, fiery drum rhythms, spidery guitar riffs and penetrating prose with dark poetic visions, the quartet makes hypnotic, almost shamanic pieces are born.
Adding traditional Greek instruments like the Cretan lyra, laouto and tsabouna (Greek bagpipes) to their haunting melodies, The Steams explore the darkest and most exhilarating depths of the psychedelic experience, taking the listener beyond the boundaries of the genre.
After two first albums and numerous concerts, including an opening date for the Black Angels, the Steams are now on a European tour while preparing a third album, Vile Wonders!
